As well as Somerset Willow Companies extensive ranges, we are also able to make items to customers own design & specification. All our bespoke work is made individually by one of our experienced basket makers, as are all our baskets, using high quality grade willow to customers own specifications, design and drawings. Whether for example the basket is a storage basket required to fit into a space or a replica of something you may already have, we will endeavour to work with you to try and meet your needs.
All drawings and dimensions provided should be in cm or mm and need to be stated as to whether it is external or internal size. Mixing and matching of different coloured willow, including dyed willow can also be implented depending on the requirement of the basket.
Please note you will have the option to select Randed or Slewed weave type, 'Randed' weave is a much stronger neater and more attractive basket weave but is more costly, the 'Slewed' weave on the other hand is much cheaper but is not as strong and is usually a less attractive weave due to the fact 3-4 willows are woven at once. You will also have the oppurtunity to select 'Optional Extras' such as Finger Holes or Rope Handles, please only select one handle type from the list of check boxes.
